Community Action of South Eastern West Virginia is one of 16 community action agencies in the state, and one of more than 1200 nationwide. Regardless of age, gender, race, or financial status we provide programs, services and information that improve people's lives and embodies the spirit of hope. Our mission is to make our communities and America, a better place to live.
We are dedicated to helping people, help themselves. The staff of CASEWV live by this motto: "How can I change people's lives for the better?" And, at the end of each day we ask, "How well did I do?"
CASEWV was chartered in 1964 and was the third such agency in the state. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that represent three different segments of the population: elected officials, private sector and limited income. We cover Mercer, Summers, and Monroe counties as a community action agency, as well as up to 12 counties with our various other programs.
